The Paramount Chief of Goaso Traditional Area, Nana Kwasi Bosomprah, has passed away.
This was publicly made known by Otumfuo Kyeame Antwi Boasiako on Monday, December 16 when the Asanteman Council convened to adjudicate some cases.
Among the cases were the Tanoso Stool Affairs which had the Goasomanhene as a member of the Committee probing the dispute.
His passing created a void, prompting an urgent need for a replacement.
Otumfuo Kyeame Antwi Boasiako who serves as the linguist on the committee besought the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to elect a new member to augment the remaining members.
“Some time ago, Otumfuo sanctioned a committee to look into the Tanoso dispute. It had the Goasomanhene as a member but he has passed on creating a void. We have already officially informed Otumfuo about this. We will need a replacement to be able to carry on with the task.”
The King on that note selected Nana Oppong Frenya, Adankragyahene as replacement.
He died on December 2, 2024, however, the cause of his passing is not immediately known. Nana Kwasi Bosomprah was 58 years old.
He ascended the stool in the Ahafo Region in 2008 after the abdication of stool by Nana Agyei Ampofo over a chieftaincy dispute.
