The former ambassador to South Africa, H.E Ayisi Boateng has cautioned the New Patriotic Party delegates to be careful in choosing the right people to lead the party both in Ashanti Region and National ahead of 2024 general election.
In an interview with Omanhene on Sompa FM/TV and www.sompaonline.com, the diplomat warned that the dynamics of yesterday is different from today’s politics and asked that delegates take into consideration the interest of the party rather than money and elect people who will unite the party.
He further said Chairman Wontumi has outlived his office and its time he leaves office for new hands to lead the party.
“Its time Wontumi leaves office, we have to change him no matter the consequences, it will be good for the party to change leadership in the Region and National. Its time we speak the truth, the likes of the late Dr Harry Opoku, FF Anto, Yaw Amankwah led the party with excellence, the deceit is too much, a ruling party that can’t pay its rent”. He vocalized.
Additionally, he said the party delegates must know whom to vote to lead the party because NPP in Ashanti Region is in shambles and need a change of hands.
“I will choose Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, he is the best choice for the party or Asare Bediako, any of them is good, he emphasized.
