A tragic fire outbreak at a furniture shop in Sunyani Penkwase has claimed the lives of two young apprentices. 

The victims, identified as 22-year-old Sharif and 17-year-old Recan, were asleep in the shop when the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Monday.

Residents quickly alerted emergency services, and personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded promptly to the scene. 

Despite their best efforts to extinguish the blaze and rescue those trapped, the two apprentices were found dead.

Authorities say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
