The Bono Regional Police Command, led by Deputy Regional Commander ACP Mr Andrews George Kumah and operational personnel, on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October 2025 respectively engaged worshippers of Christian faith-based churches in Sampa to advise them on the need to embrace peace.
The Command also engaged worshippers at various mosques on Friday October 17.
The command urged the public to maintain peace and order in Sampa, ensuring schools, banks, businesses, marketplaces and everyone freely go about their daily activities without fear.
ACP Mr Andrews George Kumah advised the people not to view Police officers as enemies, but rather as friends and peacemakers and encouraged them to approach the Police with credible information.
He cautioned the Muslim youth that anyone found with a weapon would be arrested. He advised them to propagate the message to their followers, who couldn’t make it to the Jummah prayers.
Speaking to the Christian faith-based churches, he advised them to disregard any false information from social media platforms, adding that a peaceful community promote economic growth.
Leaders and Imams of all the churches and the mosques visited expressed gratitude to the Police for the engagement and requested continued interaction until peace and order are restored in the community.
