The Bono Regional Police Command says it has commenced investigations into the unnatural death of Cynthia Boahemaa, aged 43, at Penkwase, a suburb of Sunyani.
The command, in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah said, Mr Hayford Nkansah and Adobea Eunice, reported the incident to the police, stating that their co-tenant was found hanging dead in her room, on October 25, 2025 in the Sunyani East Municipality.
"Upon arrival at the scene, the police found the victim hanging from a crossbar in her single room, wearing a white ladies straight dress with a cloth tied around her neck."
The statement added that, "There was blood oozing from her nostrils, and it had flowed down her body and onto the floor. The body was inspected and conveyed to the Sunyani Teaching Hospital. After examining the body, the medical Doctor confirmed her dead."
The body has since been deposited at the same Hospital Morgue for preservation and autopsy while investigation continues.
Meanwhile, some of the residents who spoke to the media expressed shock upon hearing the incident.
