Two timber guards of the ADRAS Timber Company Limited at Nsuhia in the Dormaa Central Municipality of the Bono Region have been murdered by some aggrieved illegal chainsaw operators.
Not satisfied with their action, the attackers numbering about 200, and wielding firearms, machetes and other offensive instruments burnt a Toyota pickup vehicle with registration number GT 3079-17 belonging to the timber company.

The deceased, Sani Aliyu, 34 and Ibrahim Musa 35, were on duty at the Mpamso forest, near Nsuhia when the attackers stormed the area.
A statement issued and signed by the Bono Regional PRO of the Police Command, Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah said the bodies had since been deposited at the Dormaa-Ahenkro Presbyterian Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
Based on information, the police visited the scene and found the bodies with multiple gunshot wounds, approximately 100 meters apart, a copy of the statement made available to Sompa FM in Sunyani indicated.
It said police investigations were on-going and cautioned the public against acts of lawlessness.
