Some residents in Sunyani have expressed optimism that this year's recruitment into Ghana's security services will be conducted fairly and transparently following an official announcement by the Ministry of the Interior.
The Ministry, in a public notice, revealed that the nationwide recruitment exercise will take place from November 15 to December 15, 2025. The exercise will cover enlistments into the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and the Ghana Immigration Service.
According to the Minister for the Interior, the government is committed to ensuring a merit-based recruitment process devoid of favoritism and corruption. He emphasized that the selection procedures will be strictly monitored and digitized to promote fairness and transparency.
Speaking in an interview with Sompa FM in Sunyani, a commuter, Mr. Asante, said he is confident the current government will uphold integrity in the recruitment process.
Another resident, Mr. Melaabae, shared similar sentiments, expressing faith in the system's ability to automatically screen and select qualified applicants.
