A devastating accident occurred at Offinso Samproso in the Ashanti Region today 7th January 2026 around 5:30 leaving at least 10 people dead and several others critically injured.
The bus with Registration Number GT 5509-20 travelling from Techiman to Kumasi collided with a trailer carrying cement with Registration Number GN 5326-22, resulting in the tragic incident.
The bus travelling from Navrongo, according to eyewitness collided with the cement-laden truck due to over speeding.
The victims were rushed to Offinso St. Patrick Hospital and other nearby facilities for treatment.
The deceased have been moved to the mortuary at St. Patrick Hospital.
Eyewitnesses say the bus crashed into the middle of the truck as it was crossing the road from the cement factory.
