An educationist and Girls Child Coordinator for the Jaman South Education Directorate, Nana Akua Ferkaa, has urged young ladies to concentrate on their education rather than getting caught up in social media. She made this appeal at a ceremony where ELLAM Legacy, a non-governmental organization with members both locally and internationally, donated educational supplies to students in Atuna, a town in the Jaman South Municipality.

Nana Akua Ferkaa stressed that social media is a permanent platform where content can have long-lasting implications, advising students to prioritize their studies for a better future. Her message was delivered alongside the donation of 1,000 exercise books, pens, pencils, and erasers aimed at supporting students in rural areas.

Nana Abena Yeboah Asuama, Twafohemaa of Atuna and founder of ELLAM Legacy, stated that the donation was intended to promote education among girls in rural communities, providing them with equal opportunities for growth and development. The organization, with its broad membership base in Ghana and abroad, aims to contribute positively to the educational sector.
