The Youth Wing of Moree in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (A.A.K) District in the Central Region has registered their displeasure over the lack of developmental projects in the community due to an alleged political hunting against Nana Adzekese Xl, Chief of Moree and the Kyirdomhene of Asebu Traditional Area by the Member of Parliament for A.A.K, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
The youths peeved reactions are motivated by the allegation that a section of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) faithfuls in the community, disregard Nana Adzekese Xl as Chief of Moree.
On Wednesday, March, 11th, 2026, the agitated youths held a demonstration to vent their claim at Moree, a suburb of the A.A.K District.
The Youth Chairman, Papa Fynn Junior, made it known that the expression against the Chief is worrying, emphasizing that the unrelenting frustration against the Chief is unacceptable.
He alleged that the A.A.K MP has been very instrumental with the promise of defending these known NDC faithfuls.
Papa Fynn Junior elaborated that the DCE of AAK has been warned consistently and threatened to be removed from office should he engage with the Chief in any official duty call.
He claimed that Hon. Kwakye Ofosu is abreast that Nana Adzekese Xl has been gazetted.
"In an alleged conversation between the Hon. Ofosu and the Chief, the MP pushed for a halt of performing rites and rituals needed to be carried out by the Chief in other to rule properly as the Chief, but the Chief vehemently resisted the MP's order," Papa Fynn claimed.
"Our Chief has been gazetted by the Republic of Ghana of which the Paramount Chief of Asebu, Okatakyi Prof. Amenfi VII also acknowledges it," he added.
The youth insisted that the police communication circulating in the public domain misrepresent the fact surrounding the issue and has consequently tarnished the image of Moree.
A section of the demonstrators opined that, if Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu is seen in such an act, they will vote him out as their Member of Parliament.
