Professor Joseph Albert Quarm, Chief Executive Officer of Professor Quarm Publications, has donated 14,500 learning materials, estimated to cost GH¢400,000, to the Otumfour Osei Tutu Charity Foundation be distributed to some basic schools in the Ashanti Region.
The CEO paid homage to the royal palace of the Ashanti Kingdom when he joined other dignitaries in celebrating the Awukudae.
Speaking after the kind gesture, the learned reiterated that this is not the first time he is offering a helping hand to the educational fund founded by his royal majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu 2nd about 22 years ago.
According to him, the gesture is a promise fulfilled as part of his enormous pledge to help better education within the scope of Ashanti and its environment.
He lauded Otumfour for his wisdom, discipline and his zeal for education and passion for school-age children to have a better life and the privilege of being in school.
Nana Afia Kobi Prempeh who spoke on behalf of the charity fund expressed joy and thank the former member of parliament for Manso-Nkwanta Constituency for responding to the call and fulfilling his promise.
She, therefore, invited other corporate bodies to follow the steps of the honourable man and offer their support to the charity foundation.
The books were presented to the Otumfuo Education Fund for distribution to the beneficiary schools.
