The Headmaster of Aburaman Senior High School in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) District in the Central Region, Dr. Isaac Ignatius Yankey, has expressed concern over the infrastructure deficit affecting the school, citing it as a major obstacle to quality education delivery.
Dr. Yankey speaking after the 50th anniversary celebration of Aburaman SHS under the theme "50 Years of Retrospect: The Dawn of Aburaman Senior High School," he highlighted that even under the depressed infrastructure problem, the school is ranked among the best sixteen (16) schools out of seventy-seven 77 schools in the Central Region.
He took the opportunity and urged all sympathizes, old students and the government to assist the school since it currently hold hundredth of people from all over the country.
"The infrastructure burden is now our challenge, we lack school blocks, bus, administration block, pickup car for official duties, fence wall and treated water system," he lamented.
Dr. Isaac Ignatius Yankey hinted that Aburaman SHS is ready to foster the single track system when the needed assistance is offered.
"If we are able to complete the abandon school blocks since the year 2000, we are projecting about 600-800 capacity of students which will help us to shift from double track into single track system."
Guantuahene of Abura Dunkwa, Nana Kodwo Daadze l, having graced the occasion, expressed excitement over the school's excellence in teaching and learning activities.
He again pledged support for the school in the capacity as traditional authorities of the land to offer the necessary assistance for Aburaman SHS.
