Fear has gripped residents at the New Dormaa in the Sunyani Municipality, as a wild animal suspected to be a tiger invades the enclave.

Sompa FM learnt the beast roamed around the enclave at night, attacked and killed stray animals like goat, sheep and dog.

For the past two weeks the beast has reportedly killed and devoured several stray animals, ate only the intestines and left the carcass with the Pastoral Centre and parts of Odumase being the most affected areas.

Mr Issifu Mustapha, the Assembly Member for New Dormaa Mangrove Electoral Area in the Municipality who confirmed the story to our correspondent appealed for help help the unexpected happened.

A source at the Bono Regional Police Command said the command was yet to receive information about the story.

Sharing more insight to the strange happening at the area, the assemblyman claims there have been hearsay from some natives of the enclave attributing the strange incidents to sakawa boys in the area.

He further called on wildlife and expertise to come to their aide as they fear for their life.
