Rev. Samuel Kobina Affadze, Chairman for the Christ Healing Power Church Ghana has expressed that, frustration over employment opportunities in the country, is the cause of the sudden rise in same-sex relationship among most youths in Ghana.
He charged the youths to remain in God because, we are in the end time season, where the devil is at work.
Rev. Kobina Affadze urged the government and church leadership to create job opportunities for the youths, since it's the remedy for alleviating same-sex relationship in the country.
"I seize this season to remind ourselves that we are in the end time, so we must be vigilant over the schemes of the devil"
He continued that "If there are jobs for youths in Ghana, it will reduce this same-sex relationship. Hence, I implore the government and Pastors to work on creating employment opportunities for the youth in Ghana," he noted.
The clergyman made this remarks today, Friday, April 3, 2026, in an engagement with Sompa TV's Francis Thompson at the annual Easter convention celebration, dubbed, "He is not here, He has Risen," at Elmina in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipality in the Central Region.
The country still grapples with strong opposition to LGBTQ+ rights, with many viewing same-sex relationships as taboo. The issue has reignited calls for addressing Ghana's economic challenges and promoting inclusivity.
