Market women at Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Bono Region have called for government’s intervention as a downpour which hit the area disrupted buying and selling at the relocated Dormaa-Ahenkro market.

The market women were relocated to from the Dormaa Tuesday market to new site to pave the way for the construction of the 24-hour market in the municipality.

According to them a downpour which hit the municipality on Monday flooded the new market site and cause extensive damages to food stuffs and their personal properties.
In an interview with Sompa FM at Dormaa-Ahenkro, the traders called for the quick intervention of the government and the local authority to improve condition at the new site for their businesses to thrive.
