Women in Sustainability Africa (WiSA) has officially launched the 2026 WiSA International Festival, an initiative aimed at empowering women and promoting economic sustainability across Africa.
Speaking at the event,today at the Cedis Conference Hall, the Minister for Gender, Children and Women Empowerment, Hon. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, highlighted government policies focused on advancing women’s empowerment and strengthening gender equality in Ghana and beyond.

She emphasized the importance of creating inclusive opportunities for women to thrive in all sectors of the economy.
The Minister also commended the First Vice President of Ghana, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, describing her as a strong symbol of empowerment and inspiration to women across the country. She encouraged women to take advantage of such platforms to build their capacity, pursue leadership roles, and contribute meaningfully to sustainable development.

The WiSA International Festival is expected to bring together women leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and stakeholders to share ideas, foster innovation, and drive impactful change across the continent.
