The District Chief Executive of Atwima Mponua, Hon. Ibrahim Issahak, has lauded workers across the district for their commitment and sacrifices, describing them as the backbone of the district’s progress as Ghana joined the rest of the world to mark May Day on 1st May 2026.
Speaking in a statement to commemorate International Workers’ Day, Hon. Issahak extended gratitude to teachers, nurses, doctors, farmers, traders, artisans, and all other workers whose daily efforts contribute to the growth and stability of Atwima Mponua.
“The district truly appreciates your outstanding performance and tireless dedication. Today is a reminder of the resilience and sacrifice of every worker across Ghana, and we celebrate you for keeping our communities moving forward. Your efforts will not go unseen,” he said.
The DCE assured that the assembly remains committed to creating an enabling environment where workers are recognized and supported.
He noted that the district is working to improve basic infrastructure, healthcare delivery, and educational facilities to ease the burden on public sector workers and boost productivity.
He also reiterated the government’s ongoing programs aimed at job creation and skills development, urging the youth to take full advantage of these initiatives to build sustainable livelihoods.
While commending hardworking citizens, Hon. Issahak issued a stern warning to individuals who resort to illegal means to earn a living.
He cautioned that security agencies in the district are actively on alert and will not hesitate to deal decisively with acts of theft, fraud, and other unlawful activities.
“Anyone who does not want to work through the right channel should desist from it. We will not allow a few bad actors to undermine the dignity of labor in this district,” he stated.
