The management of Teraone Media, operators of Sompaonline.com, Sompa Tv, Sompa 93.1 FM in Kumasi has given birth to a new Radio Station in Sunyani, the regional capital of Bono Region.

The media conglomerate led by the general manager of Teraone media, Mr Collins Amo-Poku together with the staff from Sompa Kumasi trooped to join their colleague workers at Sunyani to unveil Sompa 98.9 FM.

The Bono Presbytery chairperson, Rev Benjamin Appiah who led the unveiling with prayers, prayed for togetherness and dedication for the workers.

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon Justina Owusu Banahene also thanked management for thinking about the people of Sunyani and given them a class of touch state of media.

In attendance was the regional minister Hon Justina Owusu Banahene, the municipal chief executive, Hon John Ansu Kumi, chairperson of the Bono presbytery, Reverend Benjamin Appiah, Alhaji Baba Seidu Mahammoud, Deputy Chief Imam of Bono Region.

Other dignitaries includes Nana Kusi Diatuo, Krontihene of Adomako Sunyani Traditional Council, Nana Osei Kyei Ababio, Apagyahene, Nana Kofi Alowunu, Nkwabenhene of Sunyani, Barima.

The rest are, Barima Asamoah Awuah, krontihene of Nkwabeng, Nana Akua Gyagawa, Queenmother of Nkwaben-Agozokrom, Nana Adane Sasu, Sumankwhene of Nkwaben, Nana Kwaku Muligna Nchibini, Sanahene of Nkwaben and many others.

The new station travels with the frequency modulation 98.9 and spread it tentacles across the bandwidth of Bono Region, Bono East and Ahafo Region, with the state of the art edifice and ultra-modern studios.

The station is headed by Mr Aboagye Boadi Yaw, known publicly as ABY, as the general manager.

 The new media station boast of political, social, technology, cultural and religious programs that is bend on transforming its target audience.

The morning show dubbed “Anopa Sompa” will be running from Monday to Friday, 5:45 GMT to 9:50 GMT, with Mr Asare Kwakye Emmanauel, Asa Bee.

Other programs include Sompa Sports which also runs from Monday to Friday, 9:50 GMT to 12 GMT with Mr Atta Twum Barima (Papa Cleff) and his team, News Editor, Mr Dennis Peprah and his team of news anchors including Akua Nyarko Abronoma, Okyere Nimo and the rest continues from 12 to 13:00 GMT, Nana Poku Piesie takes over with “Nsem sisi” from 19:00 GMT to 21:00 GMT.

Other flagship programs include, Sompa extra, an entertainment show with Dj Kazopy, Kawasem with Nana Poku Piesie and other entertaining but educative programs .stick with Sompa 98.9 FM.
