The minister for Lands and Natural Resources Hon Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah has disclosed of government efforts to strengthen securities on our boundaries.
Speaking at a two-day consultation workshop in Accra today the Minister stated that this consultation is to validate our strategic plan towards the border governors.
He said that our borders we shared has responsibility, not for only a particular country, not only Ghana, but between Ghana and the space.
He believe that without this coordination, the collaboration cannot actually govern our borders.
The Commissioner General of the Ghana Boundary Commission, Major General Anthony Ntem also noted that,our neighboring countries reflect a shared understanding that international boundaries should not divide us, but rather serve bridges for cooperation, stability, and prosperity, and "I am sure that a lot of us here will understand the history of how these boundaries came to be."
He further said that a few days ago, the Ghana Boundary Commission conveyed a workshop, which brought together ministries, departments, and agencies, security services, and development partners to review the commission's identified boundary governance priorities that national exercise reinforce the importance of coordinated institutional action.
