Nana Yeboaa Pene II, the Queen-mother of Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality in the Bono Region has urged traditional and opinion leaders to live exemplary lives for the younger generation to emulate.
She said as the embodiment of tradition and culture, chiefs and queens as well as family head and assembly members serve as role models in society, saying their lifestyle could either stain or dignify the chieftaincy institution.
Nana Pene II gave the advice when speaking at a colourful ceremony for the enstoolment and some sub-chiefs, and queens, held at Chiraa.
She also asked the traditional and opinion leaders to remain patriotic and contribute to the development of the Chiraa community, saying the government alone could not shoulder the responsibility of national development.
