Some concerned residents in the Sunyani Municipality have expressed concern about recurring flooding in parts of the country, urging the government to put in place precautionary disaster interventions as the rains set-in.
Speaking in an interview with Sompa FM in Sunyani, the residents expressed worry that the reported nationwide flooding was becoming too much.
Madam Kyeremaa, a trader at the Sunyani night market attributed the cause of flooding partly to the attitude of the public, and urged the
government to implement strict measures to change people's bad attitude towards the environment.
Mr Inusah Fuseini, another resident said it was the responsibility of the government to avert natural disasters like flooding.
