Embattled Daniel Yussif’s mother, Ajara Ali has appealed to the court to grant her son bail, assuring authorities that she will make him available whenever required.
Daniel Yussif popularly known as "Oboy Slab" and hails from Cape Coast was arrested by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) in connection with Frederick Kumi, popularly known as Abu Trica's alleged $8million international fraud and money laundering case and is currently being detained in Police custody for about four (5) months now, while the main suspect in Abu Trica has been granted bail.
It's with this that family members, friends, and sympathizers of Daniel Yussif on Tuesday tied red stripes on the head with chants and displayed placards to hit the streets of Cape Coast in a peaceful demonstration from Ankaful through to the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to cry out for justice for the suspect, by imploring the public to join them in their quest to seek release for Yussif.

“Please grant my son bail. I am his mother and I will provide him when needed by the court. He is not a flight risk, I stand as surety for him.” Ajara Ali said to the media after the peaceful procession.
Family members maintained that granting him bail would allow them to better prepare for his defense while ensuring he remains available for all court proceedings.

Deloris Nyinabo, Daniel Yussif's wife, Aunty, Sister-in-law and other sympathizers recounted that the family is subjected to emotional and financial burden, with claims that Daniel isn't a criminal but a mobile phone and laptop repairer instead.
They noted that the suspect was arrested at the Airport upon returning from Turkey to seek medical care, hence granting him bail will help him to address his medical condition and called on the government to intervene for the release of "Oboy Slab" as affectionately called.

Mamuna Salifu, Grandmother to the suspect also pleaded on the court to grant Daniel Yussif bail, since he's the one who takes care of her, as his absence is having a toe on her health and psychological wellbeing, adding that her grandson isn't a criminal as being widely speculated.
