NUTUG urges tricycle owners to engage license riders

Mr Yaw Eric Atanga, the Bono Regional Organiser of the National Union of Tricycle Operators of Ghana (NUTUG) has advised tricycle owners to ensure that they engaged riders with license to bring sanity on the road.
He said as the government finalized modalities to regularize tricycle operation passenger fee paying transportation in the country, there was the need for the tricycle owners to also do the right.

In an interview with Sompa FM in Sunyani, Mr Atanga, popularly known as ‘Ben Jesus’ advised the tricycle owners not to release their machines to minors to operate, saying only people above 21 years could ride the tricycles.

Mr Atanga explained that hikes in fuel prices and spare parts had informed the association to increase its fares and urged users to cooperate with the increment.
