Concerned residents at Penkwase in the Sunyani Municipality have expressed concern about the increment of fares by Pragyia riders in the area.
They described the new fares as exorbitant, urging the intervention of the Sunyani Municipal Assembly.
In an interview with Sompa FM at Penkwase, Mr George Badu, a resident said that the people were unhappy about the decision of the riders who used the Penkwase-Sunyani Masom Masom route.
He said the riders had increased the fares from GHC3 to GHC4, describing the upward adjustment as unfair.
Comparatively, the concerned residents noted that taxis which used the same route charged GHC5, saying that charging GHC4 for Pragyia was unfair.
They called on the Municipal Assembly to regulate the praygia fares in the interest of users and the riders
