Former Deputy Minister for Transport and the special aide to John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Joyce Bawah Mogtari has advised students in the country to acquire extra skillset in addition to their academically obtained knowledge at school.
According to her, should Ghanaian students adhere to this directive, will propel them to be strategically positioned and equipped for the job market.
She said this at a secretarial conference organized by the students' representative council (SRC) of the University of Cape Coast dubbed, " Powering Efficiency, Unlocking the Secrets of Successful Secretaries."
Lawyer Joyce Bawah Mogtari in an interview with the media after the conference, urged students that no matter their understudied course in school, they should strive to get other skillset which is in requisite demand by the general public.
The former Transport Minister highlighted the fact that, technologically advanced countries globally have all started doing away with the utilisation of certificates, as majority of its employees are often employed based on their skillset.
