Information reaching Sompa News desk has it that machines of the District Road Improvement Project (DRIP) has been grasp from the project site of Hon. Kwamena Minta Nyarku, the sitting Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North Constituency in the Central Region by Horace Ekow Ewusi, the NPP parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
Sources reveal that the hijacked machines, comprising of a grader with DRIP number CR009BH, tipper trucks, a wheel loader among others, were deposited at the residence of the Cape Coast North NPP parliamentary candidate in Cape Coast.
The machines said to have be hijacked by the NPP PC were been used by the incumbent MP of the opposition party (NDC) for the construction of an astro turf for residents of Pedu, a suburb of Cape Coast.
NDC Communications Officer for Cape Coast North, Mabel Amoasiwaa Eshun in an interview reaffirmed that the DRIP machines were seized by Ekow Ewusi for the construction of an astro turf he's equally constructing at Abura.
A project the Cape Coast North NDC Communications Officer noted to be fully funded by the Ghana National Petroleum Commission (GNPC).
Unlike that of the incumbent MP, whose astro turf project she uncovered to be solely funded by himself through the help of some loved ones.
She quizzed to ascertain whether constituents of Pedu are exempted from paying tax, since they are being denied access to state equipments meant for developmental works of their constituency.
