Former President John Dramani Mahama has accused the NPP government of partisan distribution of national resources which was rather based on their supposed strong holds.
But Mr Mahama says the NDC has towed a different line since it has provided the support every Ghanaian community needed with power, water and roads with no emphasis on political affiliation.
The former President John Mahama was speaking at Mampong over the weekend as parts of his 5-days campaign tour to the Ashanti Region.
The people of Mampong benefited from a major water project under John Mahama though it remains one of the strong holds of the NPP since 1992.

Former President John Mahama also advised Ghanaians not to be ınduced by monetary influence from some politicians especially the Npp' after having led the country ınto economic hopelessness.
Speaking to NDC supporters at Mampong, he claimed that all the goodies thrown on Ghanaians are their hard earned sweats which have now been brought to them because of elections.
He accused Nana Addo- Bawumia government of paying less attention to current economic plights of Ghanaians caused by rising depreciation of the cedı and inflation.
Describing Dr Bawumia as a failed economic whizkid, Mr John Mahama urged Ghanaians to vote Ndc back to power to reset all the mess created by the Nana Addo-Bawumia led government.

Addressing the Muslims community at Mampong Mr. John Mahama posited that the current cost of 75 thousand cedis to Mecca was unacceptable since it was denying some good Muslim of good standing in Islam the chance to the holy journey.
He entreated Muslims across the country to vote massively for the Ndc adding that the Ndc has always represented the ınterest of the Muslim community in the country.
He therefore assured them to expect reduction ın the cost of the pilgrims to Mecca once the Ndc returns to power next year.
Black stars poor performance
Mr John Mahama also assured the electorates that the next Ndc government would prioritize the Black Stars success emphasizing that the current state of the national team was a mockery of ıts continental and global reputation.
He insisted that black stars performances under Nana Addo -Bawumia has been a shadow of ıts former self because they have no plans for the team.
He assured that the nsc would team up strongly with GFA and reset the team and ensure Ghana wins ıts lost reputation in football.
