Former President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaian Muslims to pray for peaceful elections on Saturday December 7th to ensure Ghana triumph once again to win its continuous pride in democracy in the continent.
He indicated that Ghana could not afford to emulate post-election wars as witnessed in some parts of the continent which rather saw innocent lives lost as well as their economies destroyed for good.
According to him, he is of strong conviction that the country prevails just as it had prevailed over the years with post elections peace adding that the ninth time Ghanaians are going to the polls would not be different from the past.
The NDC Flagbearer was speaking to the Muslim Community today when he met the leadership of Islam at KNUST in Kumasi as parts of his campaign tour to the Ashanti Region adding that the Muslims leadership have the right to dress to suit the religious persuasions as being enshrined in the constitutions without any fear from any group of people.
Speaking on the current state of the economy, Mr. John Dramani Mahama reminded them that the current struggling was alien to us as a people adding that the NPP administration under Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia has thrown the country into the deepest shackles of economic doldrums.
He therefore urged them to support his call for change since that was the surest way Ghana could be re-positioned in terms of its quest of coming back to reset economic fortunes of the country.
