The Assembly is expected to create a "Tourism and Business Summits respectively as well as Sanitation Court" to foster the development that the Assembly is seeking.
Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. George Justice Arthur, who made these pronouncements, said these comprehensive enforcement measures would continue as part of broadening the Metropolitan developmental image in the country.
He was speaking during the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly Social Accountability Forum (Media Engagement).
Both astute media personnel and some heads of departments of the Assembly were in attendance and contributed to the program.
The exercise was believed to have followed the Presidential accountability forum organized to share opinions on matters of essence.
He recounted the usage of the Internal Generated Funds and the District Assembly Common Fund for the commencement of new projects and the inherited projects such as school blocks, sanitation exercises,lighting system and roads network.
Mr. Arthur described some unfortunate challenges including the non-compliance with building without the Assembly's permit, malfunctions of rented market stores theft of electricity transformers, the aloof attitude of some citizens during sanitation exercises and others.
Hon. George Justice Arthur urged that "In 2026 we will establish the sanitation court to address its challenging and as well as embarking on the tourism summit, business and Investment summits in the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly.
He expressed confidence that Cape Coast Metropolis would be transformed into a model of community pride.
