Mr Seid Mubarak, the Sunyani East Member of Parliament has performed a ground breaking ceremony for work to begin on the construction of artificial pitch at the Sunyani Newtown Methodist School Park.

‎The project execution is expected to be completed and handed-over for use within eight months.

‎Speaking at a brief ceremony at the project site, the MP said he was funding the construction of the project through his share of the MP’s common fund, in fulfilment of a promise he made to the people during the 2024 electioneering.

‎Mr Joseph Addae Akwaboa, the Bono Regional Minister also highlighted on the government 24hour economy, assuring that plans were underway for the construction of standard 24hour markets across all the 12 politically administrative districts and municipalities in the region.

‎Mr Vincent Antwi Agyei, the Sunyani Municipal Chief Executive used the occasion to advice traders and shops along the Sunyani-Abesim stretch to relocate for the contractors to commence work on the dualization of the stretch.
