A directive by the Bank of Ghana (BoG) on the local currency has been greeted with varied reactions among some concerned residents in Sunyani, the Bono Regional capital.
According to the directive of the central bank, it was a serious offence, punishable by law for someone to damage, deface and glue torn Ghana cedi notes.
Reacting, the concerned residents told Sompa FM that it was the responsibility of the BoG to fade out torn notes from the system.
Mr Ansah also spoke about the use of the Ghana cedi coins.
Some concerned residents also shared similar sentiments.
