Mwine-Maalo and Dede to represent Shea, Cocoa Zones in grand finale of "TRIPLES' Challenge 2026
Miss Dasanah Candi Mwine-Maalo, 15, and Nyarko Nhyira Dede 13, have been adjudged the overall winners of the first master encounter of the Seventh School Sanitation Solutions (TRIPLES) Challenge 2026 for the Shea and Cocoa Zones respectively.
Mwine-Maalo, a student of the Star of God Roman Catholic (R/C) Junior High School (JHS) in the Upper West Region would represent the Shea Zone in the grand finale of the Challenge to be held at the National Theatre in Acera on Monday September 21, 2026.
Her equal, Dede, also a student of the St Anthony R/C Basic JHS in the Eastern Region would also represent the Cocoa Zones in the finals.
The pair were among the 10 students and pupils drawn from the Shea (Upper East, Upper West, North East, Savannah and Northern Regions) as well as the Cocoa (Ashanti, Eastern, Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions) Zones.

They participated in the first masters encounter (semi-finals) of the challenge in Sunyani, the Bono Regional capital organised by the World Vision Ghana (WVG), in partnership with Kings Hall Media Limited.
Other partners of the challenge include the Ghana Education Service (GES), Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources (MSWR), GAMA SWP and Zoomlion Foundation.

In an interview with the media, Mr Yaw Attah Arhin, the WASH Technical Specialist of the WVG highlighted the concept of the challenge.
Mwine-Maalo told the media that she was grateful to the organisers for the contest saying she was highly confident to win the grand finale.
Dede also expressed her excitement and pledged to leaner harder to make impact in the grand finale.
