Chief executive officer of eGotickets the company in charge of e-ticketing George Festus Mensah, has exclusively revealed to sompaonline.com Ghana will use the electronic platform to sell tickets during next years All Africa Games in the country.
EGotickets successfully piloted the e-ticketing system during Ghana’s World Cup play off game against Nigeria which earned government a record 1.4 million cedis at the gates.
The country’s biggest local football encounter between Kotoko and Hearts of oak also saw the system being implemented which also generated almost 600,000 cedis.
Speaking to Sompaonline.com, George Festus Mensah indicates plans are underway to undertake the sale of tickets electronically during next years Africa games.
“Once the directive from government is to go E-ticket at all government stadia, I think that will be the best approach to go.
“We are yet to engage key stakeholders but from where I stand once we go on e-ticket, there is no turning back “he told sompaonline.com
“E- ticket has come to stay because it has shown the way and its the way forward “Digitizing our processing, Digitizing our experience is the way to go” he added.
