Liverpool FC forward Mohamed Salah has scored his 250th goal for Liverpool and has described reaching the historic mark as an achievement he is proud of.
His goal was registered in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa that ended a poor run of form that had The Reds lose six of seven games in all competitions.
Salah capitalised on a wayward pass from Villa goalkeeper Emilino Martinez to sweep a quick finish into the net in the first half for Liverpool’s first goal before Ryan Gravenberch scored the club’s second.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the win at Anfield, the Egyptian player said he was proud to reach such an illustrious mark.
“It’s a great feeling to score goals and win trophies for such a big club.”
“It’s something I don’t take for granted. I’m so proud and so happy about that achievement.”
“We had a few losses in the Premier League and Champions League but I’m glad we start to come back on track now. It’s a good plus before very important games against [Real] Madrid and City. It’s a very important win for us” Salah said.
