Duayaw Nkwanta United FC have been crowned champions of the Dr. Gideon Boako Sports Festival Scouting Tournament after a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Bomaa Tigers FC.

The two-day sporting event, organized by the Member of Parliament for Tano North, Dr. Gideon Boako was designed as a talent identification platform.
The initiative aimed to unearth gifted young athletes within the constituency and provide them with a pathway toward professional sports careers. The event brought many dignitaries who gave advice and words of encouragement to the youth. Former Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Blackstars legend, Charles Asampong “the terrible Taylor” graced the occasion along with scouts from around the world.

The Road to the Final
The football category was the highlight of the event, featuring 10 football teams from the Tano North Constituency battling for the prestigious trophy. The competition reached a fever pitch during the knockout stages:
Semi-Final 1: Bomaa Tigers secured their spot in the final after a tense encounter with Adrobaa FC, eventually progressing via a penalty shootout.
Semi-Final 2: Duayaw Nkwanta United FC faced off against local rivals Duayaw Nkwanta Zongo. In a high-stakes "town derby," United held their nerve to win the shootout and advance to the grand finale.

The Grand Finale
The final match lived up to the hype, as Bomaa Tigers and Duayaw Nkwanta United FC remained inseparable throughout regulation time. In the ensuing shootout, Duayaw Nkwanta United FC displayed superior clinical finishing, defeating the Tigers 4-3 to claim the ultimate prize.
