The Member of Parliament for Berekum West, Hon. Dickson Kyere Duah ‘Stuggard’, has reaffirmed his commitment to transforming the local sports landscape, stating his constituents will be disappointed in him if he does not leave behind a "befitting" sports facility for his people.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Akwasi Atta Twum Barima on Sompa Premier Sports last Saturday 24th January, 2026, the MP revealed that plans are already in motion. Hon. Kyere Duah noted that he has entered into advanced discussions with investors and he is currently exploring multiple avenues to secure the necessary funding and support for the project.
During the broadcast, the MP highlighted highlighted that the impact of the former Brong Ahafo Region now comprising of Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions on the history and success of Ghana football cannot be overstated.
Despite this rich contribution Hon. Kyere Duah lamented that these regions have been overlooked regarding sports infrastructure.
Hon. Kyere Duah called on the President to help and prioritize infrastructure in the Bono enclave to ensure that the next generation of sporting talent has the resources needed to succeed.
