The Ghana Police has taken on the British High Commissioner to Ghana Harriet Thompson over her tweet following the arrest of Oliver Barker-Vormawor.
After Mr Barker-Vormawor was arrested on May 17 for traffic Offense in Accra, the British diplomat tweeted: “Oliver Barker Vormawor, convener of #FixTheCountry movement, arrested again, I understand for a motoring offence on his way to court. I’ll be interested to see where this goes…”.
The Police in a letter to the High Commissioner amounted to interference in internal security matters of Ghana.
“We consider your tweet on Oliver Barker-Vormawor’s arrest for traffic offenses a violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations”.
