Once a Member of Parliament of Nkoranza South Municipality in the Bono East region, Mr. Charles Konadu Yiadom has filed his nomination forms to contest the party's parliamentary primaries.
Mr. Konadu Yiadom filed on Friday, August 4, 2024 at the party office in the Nkoranza South Municipality.
Addressing the media shortly after his filing, he utilized the opportunity to thank the traditional chief council, constituency executives, his party elders and patrons, family, pastors and friends for standing with him through thick and thin.
The former MP divulged his vision to sustain unity and progress in the party and in the municipality. He pleaded with citizens to remember his good deeds and achievements when he was in office as Member of Parliament and implored them to choose him when the time is due.
"It is today that I have submitted my forms. But my people know how I've immensely contributed to our sustainable development."
He then asked his supporters to keep calm and desist from anything that'll spark chaos and disunity.
Quoting 1 Chronicle 14:8-14, he emphasized his reason for not filing his form with a crowd thronging the premises, saying this was an intra politics and that God, who speaks to his children in diverse ways was doing a new thing in their midst. He pledged to visit all media houses in the municipality, and communities in the municipality to throw more light on his track record.
The Nkoranza South Constituency NPP Chairman, Hon Clement Owusu Adjei also spoke to Sompa 90.7 FM's reporters. He said two persons have picked forms to contest the race but only the former MP, Hon Charles Konadu has submitted his. He encouraged interested participants to come and pick their forms at the party office.
The constituency Chairman reiterated that NPP shall present a credible, competent, reliable and an enthusiastic parliamentary candidate in 2024 in order to snatch power and bring improvement to the vicinity.
"We shall not give Nkoranza South a selfish candidate" he remarked.
Hon. Owusu Adjei affirmed that the party's rules and regulations will strictly be adhered to and enforced to the letter, advising candidates and supporters to avoid insults-trading and promote a peaceful coexistence.
