My properties have been seized in my hometown. This information is from Odike, the Founder and Leader of United Progressive Party, Akwasi Addai ‘Odike’.
The office of the politician was attacked this evening in Kumasi.
Mr Odike who was lucky to have survived the attack said he would have been in the silent world by now had the bandits seen him in the office.
Mr. Odike who spoke to Sompa news said he had information from a friend that Bandits were coming after him.
He said he had to hide in a corner in his office as his attackers shot into the office.
He said party members and workers in his office were beaten as they searched for him everywhere in the office.
He said he could hear his attackers saying” Odike Today you are dead” as they bang into the office.
Mr Odike further revealed his ordeal which includes having his properties in his hometown being seized by the chief. He said the chief there had also banished him and has taken over his properties.
This comes after chiefs in Kumasi headed by Bantamahene, Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, performed rituals banishing the politician from Ashanteman.
Mr. Odike said he has reported his attack to the police and is waiting on their report to see if he can remain in Kumasi or relocate.
